2. Please check the correctness of this sentence with him.

Both of these are correct grammar. The structure in #2 reasonably common.

It is extremely rare, if not incorrect, to place anything between the verb (check) and its direct object (the correctness). I would avoid the first sentence and use the second.

It is, however, quite common to use the verb intransitively, saying things such as 'Please check with Tom about this.' Emotion: smile
