Check up on

Hallo :-)
I can't figure out the meaning of this phasal verb... Could you help me please?
My idea is...
I finish my writing and I ask someone:
Could you please check up on my mistakes?
I am asking to mark my mistakes.
or...

Check up on your mistakes and practice a little more to avoid them... She is asking me to see my mistakes and practice..

Thanks a lot in advance...
Irma.
