Check these please

Hi. Please tell me if the underlined participle phrase is correct. Let's say the alphabet letters "XXX" and "YYY" represent the names. What do you think of "This book is written by XXX and translated by YYY"?

This book is written by XXX, translated by YYY.

Also, even though the following partial-sentence examples aren't related to the thread topic, would you tell me they, especially the underlined parts, are clear. I feel it might be better to add the phrase "the piracy of copyrighted materials" after the preposition "in" in no. 1 and to add the phrase "the movie" after the word "wrote" in no. 2, but afraid it might come across wordy, or perhaps too wordy. Thank you for your help in advance.

1. Please do not participate in or encourage piracy of copyrighted materials in ...

2. He wrote and acted in the movie ...
