Please could you check the naturalness and grammar of my sentence below?

It's wonderful that you post your question before going to bed and get an answer the next morning thanks to wonderful teachers from all over the world. It is as if you were learning English even when you are sleeping.

Sorry, I have to disagree - the use of the subjunctive "were" (as if you were) sounds just right to me.

You do need a period after "morning." (And of course, that means you must start with a capital letter for your new sentence: Thanks...)

I agree, "were" does sound better. EDIT: Ok it is in the subjunctive tense. Weird use of "if". If I'm not mistaken, the second part therefore should not be in a continuous form, it should just be in the present, since the action has an unknown time?

Was your comment about the period just aimed at that particular, awkward sentence? If so, I rather agree with you.

In my idiolect, it's natural to write things like this.
eg (To my teacher) I passed the exam, thanks to you.
It's a bit informal, of course.

Is this natural for Americans?

I was thinking "Thanks to the wonderful teacher..." as though he were saying "Thanks, wonderful teachers!"
