We r doing fine here.We have celebrated Ramzan good and as it was my first EID with my husband.We went to the Mosque to pray the Eid-ul Fitr Namaz together.In lunch I made Chicken Biryani.we wentto all relatives house to greet ID-Mubarak greetings and then headed out to my sister's house,came home around 11 PM.He took day off on EID and also  got a holiday for thanksgiving.I will keep you posted about our wellbeings.More in my next letter.

The objective of this study was: investigation of predestination of sulfate potassium fertilizer added to the soils under sugarcane culture in incubation condition (soil moisture equal filed capacity and temperature equal 300c) in Khuzestan province of Iran. , Identification the range of variations and mean K-fixation in these soil, investigation of effect of potassium contencerations added to soil and culture old time on K-fixation and, investigating of Q/I relationship in these soil. In order to performing its study, 70 complex soil sample in order of 35 pairs from depth of 0-30cm and 30-60cm from farmlands of Haft tappeh culture and industry (maximum culture old time 41 years), Karoon (maximum 26 years) and Sugarcane development (maximum culture old time 8 years). Were supplied.
In order to study of effect of potassium treatment and culture old time on amount K-fixation in soil under sugarcane, a factorial experiment with 4 level of K- concentration (0,150,300,600 PPM) culture old time in 4 level (less than 10 years, 10-20, 20-30 and more than 30 years) in framework of completely Randomized designing was conducted.
Results indicating that:
? Amount of OAC NH4 extractable K in 57% of topsoil’s (0-30cm) and in 71% of sub soils (30-60cm) was less than 90 PPM.
? The amount of K-fixation in studied soils varied from 71.74 mg.kg-1 to 120.15mg.kg-1. With presumption bulk density of this soils 1.5 g.cm3; the means of K-fixation in these soil will be 215.22-378.46 kg.ha-1. ( equal to 474.59 – 754.4 kgk2so4. Ha-1).
? K-fixation in blank (K0), in all samples was negative. In the other hand treating of soil under incubation conditions, cues release of K from unexchangeable site according concentration gradient. Result indicated that, with increasing concentration of added-K to the soil, Both quantity and percentage of K-fixation increased.
? With increasing time of incubation, the value of release (in blank treatment) and K-fixation (in potassium treatments) was increased.
? Results indicating that in soils whit culture old time less than 30 years, there was not significant difference between culture old time and K-fixation But in culture old more than 30 years. With increase of time, the mount of K-fixation increased.
? Drying of samples (related to moisture near filed capacity), release of potassium in blank and increase in K-fixation in other treatment were resulted.
? Results indicated that after 6-month incubation. About 70% of K added to soil were maintained in the form of available and its remains (30%) fixed and are not available to plant.
? A positive and significant correlation between K release (in blank treatment) with clay percentage, saturation percentage, CEC, O.M percentage. PH, exchangeable K and available K were observed. Whereas correlation K-fixation and factors mentioned above was significant and negative. Likewise the correlation between fixed K and culture old time was positive and significant.
? The result of studying of Q/I relationship in this soil indicated that, PBCk varied between 1.203-3.065 (mmol. L-1) 0.5. (Meq.100g-1)-1. Also significant and positive correlation between PBCK and clay percentage, CEC, exchangeable K, saturation percentage and O.M percentage was obtained. No correlation between culture old time and PBCK was observed.
? Negative and significant correlation between AR0 and culture old time was observed. Also very high correlation between soluble K and AR0 was obtained. The negative correlation between culture old time and AR0 and also high correlation between AR0 and soluble K indicating this fact that, planting cussed decline in soluble K.
? Negative and significant correlation between ?K0 and culture old time was resulted. Negative correlation between these parameters is indicating that effect of culture old time on easily available K. No correlation between culture old time and Kx was observed. It seem that, lack of correlation between these, indicates that culture old time has no effect on potassium that exist in spesepic sites.
