"Check something to do something" phrase

Greetings,

I have some doubts on this phrase.
A little backgroud. I need to say "make sure that fuses are available in specified units". I converted it into "check fuses to be available in specified units". It is from Instruction Manual. But I was told that in my case such phrase is incorrect. Can you help me and say if it is correct or not. The point is, is such phrase, in any case, incorrect at all?

Thanks in advance,
