Check out the following paragraph

This is a part of a story I'm writing. Please check for errors and comment on my language and style.

"It was a Sunday morning. Thunder, Lightning and the heavy downpour accompanied my psych. Almost everyone had an umbrella. The cars splashed water as they drove by. The traffic lights turned red. I crossed the street with my hands on my pockets. A car hit its brakes as hit almost hit me. I just kept walking."
