The Painted Desert is located in North-central Arizona. It has two-hundred-mile long plateau. It along Little Colorado River. It was discovered by El Desierto Pintado. Buttes, mesas and pinnacles formed. The iron oxides, limonite causing yellows, reds, blues colours. It is the most brilliant desert at sunrise and sunset.
