So are they wrong for grammar ?

The grammar in the original sentences is not quite right.
"as much as" - is a comparison. So, there needs to be a noun or pronoun following.

I have been missing you as much as Mom.
I like you as much as Sally.
"So much as" means "even" (adverb). He didn't so much as wave to me.
(He didn't even wave to me.)
It does not fit sentence #2, which needs a conjunction
