Check my note please

I left for my field on 3rd August 2013. After 7 hours tiresome and monotonous journey I reached xxxx. I was shocked to see my room. The room wasn't worth living. The room was dirty and stinking. It had cobwebs and had only three stinking beds and no other facility. On the first day my sister herself cleaned the whole room. Put the beds under the sun. Some articles were missing in washroom too she managed them also. So the room became a little worth living.

Thanks sir. I have to report my field experience to my seniors. It's a long note I'm posting it in small paragraph to get more attention and quick replies. Hope you will check the other parts with same interest. Thanks again.

I agree with enoon that the use of field is odd. Unless you were actually in a particular field on a farm another word might be more suitable.
Your use of tiresome would be correct in BrE, where it usually means annoying, irksome or causing frustration.
In AmE it usually means boring, as enoon observed.

Thanks BJ. It means using irksome would be more appropriate. Because that's what I want to say.
