Sue’s life
“ Your’e fat.”
Those were the last words Sue could properly comprehend before she fell into a deep sleep, one she still hasn’t quite woken up from. At least eight million people are diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, a type of eating disorder. Not all people recover completely, and sadly, Sue happens to be one of those people.
Sue was a bright, outgoing, ordinary high school girl, with a normal life in year 8, Bombala high school. she has the body that every girl dreams of. Slim, but with curves, all at the right places. Sue was satisfied with her life in Bombala high, with real and trusted friends, a loving family and a great social life. She had all the social media any high school girl would have. Instagram, snapchat and facebook. She didn’t know, however, when she downloaded these apps, that they would be her downfall.
Everyone knows that social media can be dangerous if you’re not careful, because people such as hackers can easily go through your personal information, even if you don’t want them to. Internet bullies, most commonly known as cyber bullies, are just as bad. Sue was casually scrolling through her messages via instagram and stopped dead.
“You’re fat”.
What the..? That was Sue’s first thought. Then, when her brain was able to process information again, she cried. A lot. Who was that? Why would they do that? What? Sue was upset and confused. She didn't know what to do. She thought that if one person had managed to speak their thoughts, their will be hundreds out there thinking the same. What she didn’t think about, however, was the fact that the person typing this, even though their username is unknown, is obviously doing this out of spite. No one would call someone as slim as Sue fat unless they are green with jealousy.
