Dear all i am applying for a scholarship. please take a look at my letter and help me to make it better.
First I would like to express my appreciation for this opportunity to apply for the Scholarship at XXX. Currently I am a graduating student and I will hold bachelor degree in Law at the end of June. Owing to limited resources, I am not able to proceed with further studies here in Georgia or elsewhere as I lack the necessary funds. I would be grateful to be provided with the sponsorship to further my education and to build a career. Therefore scholarship will be immensely helpful. Today every Tom, and Harry has a degree, but I have much more to put within the studying at XXX. I have many other skills than my degree. I have substantial relevant characteristics, knowledge, excellent communication skills and I am committed to diversity and equal opportunities. Meticulous manners toward the facts, accuracy in pondering and neutralize tensions help me to preserve peace within the individuals in our daily life. Except those that I am a young, energetic, hardworking and motivated person, my diplomatic traits, background in world history, knowledge in law, awareness of political events and features of mediators allow me to announce myself as the best matched candidate for this program. Moreover I do know what I expect from the program itself and how I am going to transfer all acquired knowledge back to my country. My interest in International Relations is deep and stem from my long-standing interest in politics. My father and uncle, as the national politicians have made great contribution to my interest in political issues. That’s why I preferred watching political broadcasts rather than cartoons in my childhood. I’ve been interested in the organization of society since I was very young which has always led me to try to understand how and why societies choose to allocate and manage power the way they do. Besides all the above, I am mostly concerned about the crucial reality of the world. Four years ago personally I underwent what the war is. Russian-Georgian war pushed me to think not only in national politics but in international events and about the link between the two levels. Those all helped me to realize that civil wars and transnational conflicts are the main sources of violence on the present world and this trend will become more pronounced in the future. Interest in general politics gradually led me to believe that one can't understand national and local politics without understanding the challenges a State must face on the international level. As far as I am concerned with the topics above, I decided to broaden knowledge and to change our life and world in a positive way. I am therefore planning to undertake a career in international organizations involved in conflict prevention and conflict resolution. Frankly, I strive not only for the degree or career advance, but for the world society, to build peace and to promote equality together. Awareness of our rights and liabilities helps us preventing from violence and to discover new and effective conflict management’s strategies. Therefore, I decided to apply for this scholarship because I firmly believe to bring a valid contribution to this effort thanks to the first-class education I am supposed to get in The XXX. I would be truly honored if you decide to believe in my commitment and my skills. Once again I am grateful for considering my application and I look forward to a favorable reply.
