Topic: In today's world of advanced science and technology, we still greatly value our artists such as musicians, painters and writers. What can arts tell us about life that science and technology cannot?

The development of science and technology bring various benefits to society. However, several jobs that do not need technology such as musician and writer still exist until these days. This can be explained by some reason.

Firstly, arts can nurture our soul through stories or songs. People can learn many things from poems or stories. The importance of family, friends could be conveyed in many famous artworks. “No family”, for example, is a story of a homeless child giving readers a sense of family’s love, the significant of having parents. People might not find such feeling from a smartphone or a laptop.

Secondly, some people can convey their meaning by using pictures or music. Sometimes, it is difficult to fully express our feeling by words. Therefore, musicians or painter can show their thinking through symphony or pictures. Some authors share their experience, their life in poems, some musician write songs about their own love story and let singers express it. When audiences listen to a meaning lyric, maybe they can see their own image in there. That is the sympathize which art brings to us. Science and technology might be tools to convey meaning of art more easily.

In conclusion, only by having art can we feel the meaning of love and sympathize that advances of technology could not brings back.
