This writing is so cheap. But at least lord knows I've had the practice.

I was living in a room. It was dark that I couldn't see. Objects around me was like they blended in the background, engulfed by the walls. In front of me was a bright triangular light. Inside was a person doing the weather forecast for the week ahead. I was being held by a cotton as I was laying down on the bed.

What fiction do I need to read to improve my descriptive writing?
