Check my answer please.

hi.

Yesterday John told Fred that he was at the office..........and suggested they..........in about half an hour.

1) then-meet 2) then-would meet 3) at the moment-meet 4) at the moment-met

I chose #3 but I was wrong.Emotion: tongue tied The answer key shows that #1 is the correct choice. Why? Emotion: crying

"at the moment" refers to the time now. It does not work well when referring to a past time. I don't personally think that "then" works tremendously well either.

"at the moment" refers to the time now. It does not work well when referring to a past time.

I don't personally think that "then" works tremendously well either. I would be tempted to just omit it.
