Scientists said that in the future humanity will speak the same language. In my opinion, this is a positive development; otherwise, it still has some drawbacks
First of all, speaking one language people through the world can communicate with each other easily. Like transnational travel, tourists will not get difficulty in communication with local person. For instance, Indian tourists travel to Vietnam, if they cannot speak Vietnamese or English, they hardly ask for helping. Besides, although, they can learn to speak Vietnamese, they never speak like a Vietnam people perfectly. Thus, using only one language which connect everybody in the world together, communication becomes easily for helping and sharing
In addition, teenagers will have a chance to get a well-rounded education in other countries without language barrier. For example, students who have been studying from primary to high schools in their country, when they move to university, they want to study in a foreign country. If they study in America, they need to learn English fluently, but just students whose parents have a high income can support it, lower income family cannot. Thus, using one language that every student in the world can get a well-rounded education in their country not only study abroad. Getting scholarships and mutual aid from others development country is easy
By contrast, one disadvantage faces humanity speak the same language is that the beauty of national identity of each country is lost. Because language has strongly connection with histories and cultures of one country and it create different beauty identity of countries that make a vivid world
In conclusion, though people can easily communicate when we speak the same language, we ought to accept its disadvantage
