Check in or Check-In?

I have the following sentences which I'm not sure if I am using the correct words or not:

'I decided to check in with the school that I worked at.'
And
'I checked in at the reception.'

Are these fine as they are? Or should I use a hyphen?

Thanks.

Hi.

I think both of your examples are fine they way you have written them. If you want to read more bout hyphenating words, follow this link http://www.noslangues-ourlanguages.gc.ca/bien-well/fra-eng/grammaire-grammar/arrivee-check-eng.html.

As a noun, "check-in" is hyphenated. As a phrasal verb it isn't. So, no hyphen is needed here.
