Check in date and check out date

I work as a hotel reservation clerk.
When I want to ask guests what are the dates for check-in and check-out.
Is it possible to ask guests "What are the dates you would like to stay with us"?
or is it more proper to ask two questions like ""When would you like to check in? When would you like to check out?"
How would you express those questions in that context?
