Check grammar;
I was alone in a house sitting on a couch playing fifa on playstation. On the spur of the moment, I heard a grave sound of a man from somewhere outside my room. I became more apprehensive about it until that person puts me to ease by making me realize he was some one I was familiar of.
Does it sound fine or are there any grammatical errors who need rectification? Thanks.

I think this is better. I was sitting alone on a couch playing Fifa on my playstation, when suddenly I heard an alarming sound, which appeared to be coming from a man somewhere outside my room. At first I was nervous, but then I realized that I didn't have anything to worry about, because I knew who he was.
