Topic: More and more students are choosing to study at colleges and universities in a foreign country. Do the benefits of studying abroad outweigh the drawbacks?

It is obvious that nowadays, high school students tend to opt to be entitled to higher education in a foreign nation rather than study at universities and institutions in their country. In my opinion, the disadvantages of this phenomenon totally outweigh the advantages.

First of all, there are some compelling reasons why students prefer to study abroad. Having courses and then becoming a bachelor's degree holder in other countries, especially the developed ones, stands a high chance of achieving much more knowledge about cultural diversity and seeking job opportunities for students. This may be a passport for them to attend a more advanced tertiary education, which may help them to find a short way to land a high-paid job.

However, the drawbacks of studying abroad are more noticeable than the good points mentioned above. Firstly, it is true that unless they have the affordability of higher education or the government abolishes tuition fees, students studying abroad cannot cover their tertiary tuition on their own. Because of the fees they need to pay for accommodation, university fees, and other expenditures when living and studying in a foreign country, it may be difficult for the underprivileged who want to be entitled to attend a higher degree. Moreover, studying in other nations means that if students do not know how to acquire knowledge in the right way, they may get into trouble with a mass of intricate details from the vast knowledge they absorb daily. This may cause them to get some mental health problems, such as stress, depression, or tiredness, which cannot be recognized and diagnosed easily.

To conclude, while some argue that getting higher education courses in universities or colleges in a foreign nation benefits students, I believe that the drawbacks need to be concerned more as the number of students attending international education is increasing inexorably.
