Check a sentence

Hi, would it be ok to write this sentence in a letter for article publication in a magazine:

Here, we would like to present our submission “The name of the article” by A. A., to be considered for publication in the Journal of Physics.

Can I use 'grab' in these kind of texts, or is it perhaps too colloquial?

We hope that the paper will grab the interest of researchers who investigate the properties of membranes and contribute to such fields, as the nanofluidics, biosensors, etc.
Biosensors aren't a field, so I should perhaps say 'nanotechnology'.

Too colloquial. Use simply '...will interest researchers..' or if you wish to raise eyebrows, '...will pique the interest of researchers...'

Thanks. I actually don't submit "a text sentence by sentence" (c). I just have a few questions that arise, so I post them here as native speakers can give some advice. I think I have quite short and simple questions. I would never post the whole text here because I understand that it's a totally different matter, plus I can cope with the text myself, except for a few questions, as I mentioned. I l
