chat with internet

A student wrote these sentence:

1)'I usually chat with Internet with my friends'.
I am thinking what are best possible ways, if any, to improve them. Can you please help me?
I looked up on the Internet and I found this article :
'Talk (voice chat) over local network or Internet...'
I thought that 'I usually talk/chat over Internet with my friends' sounds better. I wonder though if talk and chat are interchangeable. Could you clarify that to me?
Do we usually talk on the phone but over  Internet?

2)My favorite month is June because I was born in it and summer starts.
Do you think is it advisable to rephrase it?
How would you anyway make it sound more natural?

Thanks for your help Emotion: embarrassed
