When I posted, the picture was not visible. Did you add it when you edited your post?
As to the question, now I can see the picture, you could say He is putting money in the charity box, or He is donating to charity, or He is putting money in the collection box, or possibly He is putting money in the poor box (if the box is there to collect donations for the poor rather than, say, the animal shelter).
