Charging battery still drops

How would you naturally phrase this please while trying to included all the information in the sentence?

If you are watching a movie on your phone and your phone is charging, your battery will still drop because the battery used is more than what it’s taking in.

If you are watching a movie on your phone while charging it, the battery (percentage) will still drop, but slowly compared to do you aren’t charging it, because the battery used is more than what it’s taking in.

Thanks
