Characterize + preposition
Good day,
at the moment I have trouble finding the right preposition for characterize. My supervisor suggested:
Earlier research work characterises organisational tenure with a socialization process.
Why can´t I say "Earlier research characterises organisational tenure by a socialization process."
Unfortunately, I haven´t found ideas about this aspect online so far.
