Changing responsibilities

Mr.... has moved to another process, hence I have taken over all his responsibility.

Does anything wring with the above statement, if yes i would be grateful if you could help me with a better statement..

Is "process" normally used in your company in this way?

I'd use a full stop, or a semicolon, or an "and" before "hence."

"Hence" seems a bit too "upper register" for this sort of a communication.
