I've had two accidents this week
I've never been outside Europe.
I am struggling with these two sentences. How does one change them from the present perfect simple to the past simple? Really appreciate any help.
Thank you.

Just to confirm, the verb "been" changes to "was" in the past simple? I am still slightly confused as I have read that past simple requires the Past Participle form for the verb, but I have read that "been" is the past participle form of "be"? So when changing the sentences to past simple should "been" not still be "been".
Again, thank you both so
