Changing or trifiling nature of conflict?

Hi! everyone.
Could you tell me what "changing nature of conflict" means?
Does it mean the causes of conflict are changing ?
And also does"trifling nature of conflict (between the two groups)" means that the cause of the conflict is a quite a mere one?
