Changing jobs

Many young people regularly change their jobs over the years. What are the reasons for this? Do the advantages outweigh disadvantages?

It is popular for most young individuals today to frequently quit their current jobs and switch into the new ones. As for me, although this trend has some drawbacks, it is still beneficial for them.

First and foremost, one of the evident reasons leading to young people often changing jobs is probably their struggle with their truly favorite jobs. Some graduates still may not know what they are actually interested in working for, they therefore opt to try different positions to find their real enthusiasm. For instance, my cousin is 24 years old now but she still has difficulty determining what kind of jobs she enjoys even though she has already had a business certificate. Accordingly, for 6 months, she has been changing jobs 6 times, ranging from an accountant to officer to discover what she has been fancying. Secondly, several young adults now have an extremely high demand for job satisfaction and the jobs they are doing at the present perhaps do not meet their demands which results in their continuously being in search of diverse types of jobs to seek this element.

Otherwise, I still claim that the advantages of this trend are more significant however irksome the disadvantages are. It seems to me that sometimes, young people have to experience a disappointment and negative feelings when they have to keep switching jobs and then doing terrible ones. Yet, they will gradually have a deeper insight into various fields through tasks assigned to them, such as designing, politics, real estate or any field they dare to try. Moreover, this trend also changes them for the better. Whenever they decide to take a new job, they have to be quickly well-adjusted to a brand-new environment with full of unfamiliar colleagues and kinds of work. Therefore, they will be able to easily make friends with new co-workers and know how to make a memorable impression on bosses.

To summarize, the two reasons above explain for young adults making a regular change in work. Nevertheless, as unreasonable it is, I am convinced that the benefits are more worthwhile.
