Changed Company name

Hello everybody

I'm writing a motivation letter and talking about an internship that i had but after the internship on sept 2011 the company has changed name and it was already on the verge of changing its name while i was there.

Should i use the new name of the company in the letter or the old name and point out that the name has changed?

You should put the old name and say 'also known as {new name}' and if you go to interview then you can mention this. If you put the new name in, if employers search it, there may not be a lot of information on the internet, but the old name may have some reputation on the internet. Hope it helps!
