Change the deree without changing the meaning.

Sir,

I have given a sentence as following

1. Akbar was one of the greatest kings.

I have to change the degree of compassion without changing the meaning.

a) Akbar was greater than most other kings.

b )Not many kings were greater than Akbar

(a) and (b) are in comparative form, which one is the most appropriate.

Please explain it.

Thanks

I think they both work. I also think that a) is a stronger, more forceful statement (because it doesn' include a negative)
