Can somebody please comment on the English?

My application for the financial assistance has been approved by the faculty for the period between 10/3/2008 and 10/3/2009. However, I did not execute the agreement as I was granted a scholarship from X untill 14/07/08. For this reason, I would like to apply for change of duration for financial assistance previously offered to me to a period of 2/9/08 to 25/9/09.
Can somebody please comment on the English?
