When we tell someone:"I wanted tell you something but I regretted(change my opinion) and I don't say", How can we say it?
what is proper word or idiom In stead of "regretted "?
Do the native speakers say "I have had second thoughts."?

regretted is not right. It means I told you and then was sorry that I told you.
