There seems to be a pervasive idea in India that any active sentence with a transitive verb can be converted to passive voice with alacrity. While mechanistically, this is true, the results may not be felicitous.

The passive voice is mostly used when the actor is some unknown or unmentionable party. English sentences demand a subject, so what if the subject (the do-er) is unknown? Passive voice is the solution.

I studied my history book for three hours. (nice, felicitous, forthright. Acceptable in mixed company.)

My history book was studied by me for three hours. (Oh, what an unspeakably atrocious abomination. It should never see the light of day. )

My history book had been well studied by many previous owners before I purchased it at a second-hand book store. Every page had copious notes. (nice, felicitous, forthright. Acceptable in mixed company.)

These are agreeable sentences:

My books are well cared for.
I take good care of my books.
