Change in designation

Hi, I am working with a consulting company, i was hired as a Jr.Recuirter here. but later i was moved to the admin team. where i was assigned work as Research analyst. its been a year now i am working with this company. i want to change my designation as Research analyst. please adivice is this the right time to ask for a designation change.
