Change how/the way you remember

Hi!

Could you please advise which sentence is better/correct?

"After some time I changed how I remembered my holiday"

"After some time I changed the way I remembered my holiday"

If neither is correct, could you suggest a phrase to convey that message?

Thank You

Hotmale Could you please advise which sentence is better/correct? They are both correct. 'how' tends to focus on some kind of memory device you had by which you were able to recall the date of the holiday, and how you changed your method for remembering the holiday.

  • They are both correct.
  • 'how' tends to focus on some kind of memory device you had by which you were able to recall the date of the holiday, and how you changed your method for remembering the holiday.
  • 'the way' tends to focus on the memories you had of the holiday, and how your memories changed over time.
  • Both formulations can suggest both meanings, but I think you are aiming for the second one, and in that case you want 'the way'.
