Chance of Vs Chance That

Adult survivors of child abuse traditionally have had little or no chance that they could get their symptoms recognized and treated.

Since the subjects (Adult survivors) seems to be clear,is it good to repeat the subject?. Is it better to write

I agree, though it has nothing to do with a 'repeat' (?) of the subject (I presume you mean 'they'). It is more a matter of smooth collocation ('chance of doing').
