Challenge perfection

When Frederik Bagger established the company, he wanted to put his mark on the industry by daring to be different. Frederik believed that the industry was in need of a new breath of air. New inspiration. More provocative. Something seductive. Most importantly, something outstanding that challenges perfection.

I found these sentences online. In my opinion, they are not very well-written. That's why I looked them up. "Challenges perfection" doesn't really mean anything to me. I suppose it means striving for perfection or maybe exceeding what others think of as perfection. As I said, I don't care for the paragraph at all.
