Certain word as synonym for "get" or "ask"

Hello, I hope someone could help me remember a certain word that my old boss liked to use in phrases like:

I will ____ the help of so and so (meaning I will ask or get the help of so and so). For the life of mine I can't remember it but it sounded something like "implement" or so, but it is not this word.

Anyone can think of it???
