Certain or some?

"I am grateful to A for useful discussion on certain/some topics of this paper".

Which one do you think it's better?

Thanks,

I've been thinking that perhaps "certain" gives the idea that there have been specific reasons to discuss the topics in question, whereas "some" is neutral in this regard. If this is so, I should probably use the former.

Yes, "certain" is good enough.
