Hi! Are these all correct? Also how is 3 different from 1 and 2 grammatically? Thanks, Fulvio

1. I'm certain it's a shark.

2. I'm certain that it's a shark.

3. I'm certain that's a shark.

All three are correct but #3 is different than #1 or #2. The difference between #1 and #2 is simply that #1 drops the "that" but the word is understood to be there. Now whatever "it" is in #1 and #2, it is something that the speaker and the listener have been discussing.
