ceramic/pottery

More beauty can be seen at the Naha City Museum of Traditional Arts and Crafts, where cloth, ceramic, glass, and lacquer pieces on display.

Hi,

For a start, does "ceramic" in the above amount to "pottery/porcelain" to you?
Second, could I replace "pieces" in the above with "artifacts?" Thanks.
