central air conditioning

For information on a hotel central air conditioning,
could you please check which of the following sentences is natural?
I do not want to use the sentence,"Guests are unable to control the temperature in individual rooms." because they can adjust the temperature between low, middle and high in the heating and cooling settings.
<Senteces>
Because our hotel uses central air conditioning,
1) guests are unable to switch between heating and cooling in individual rooms.
2) guests are unable to switch between heater and cooler in individual rooms.

Hi again Moguwai! The first one is better - assuming it's clear that you're referring to the Air con. (ie that the text is on the Air con.

Hi again Moguwai!

The first one is better - assuming it's clear that you're referring to the Air con. (ie that the text is on the Air con. itself or with the other Air con. instructions). However, if it's just a stand alone sign, I would add a little to be clearer:
Guests are unable to switch between the heating and cooling features on the Air conditioner in individual rooms.

Thank you very much.
For an expression that the hotel uses to guests, could you please tell me if the following sentences sound natural. The below “ the heater to the cooler” refers to the central air conditioner.
On April 1, when you were staying with us, the hotel was just switching the heater to the cooler due to the change of seasons.

To enrich my vocaburaly, may I ask if is it also possible to say “Guests are unable to switch between the heating and cooling functions on the Air conditioner in individual rooms.” ?

Here is my suggestion. Rather than telling the guests what they can or can not do, it is always better to leave the tone in neutral. Although as odd as it may sound that the guests can not adjust the temperatures, I would say this:

Heating and air-conditioning are centrally controlled. Guest rooms are not equipped with thermostats.
