CELTA Interview
Hi
I have an interview for the CELTA this week and am currently working my way through the pre interview task. My recall of verb tenses is a little rusty so I have been revising hard and I now think I have managed to complete most of the tasks. I feel a little less confident with one and would really appreciate some feedback regarding the answers I have given.
The task asks to underline the verb or verbs in each of the sentences and identify the form/tense used.
a) We never go to the cinema - present simple
b) We’re saving up to go away - present continuous
c) We’ve already been to Thailand - past perfect
d) We didn’t have enough time to see them - past simple
e) The test started at 10.00 and we’d finished by 10.30 - past simple
f) We’d been travelling for days when the weather turned colder - past continuous
g) I’ve been given some extra work at the university - present perfect
h) We’re going to travel around Australia and I’m going to visit my brother in Perth - future simple
i) I think I’ll go back to London in the spring - future simple
j) By the year 2016 I’ll have completed most of my research - future perfect
