Ce:

I recently received a formal letter with an abbreviation that I'm unsure of the meaning of. At the close of the letter where CC: usually is, was Ce: and the name of the person that I'm assuming was copied on the letter. What does Ce: mean? If I were to guess I would conclude that it means the letter was electronically copied.

Hi, I've never seen that. Possibly it has the meaning you suggest. however, it shows the confusion that can arise from someone inventing their own form of abbreviation.
