Isn't legitimate and authorised used for things like a shop/reseller?

I believe that 'original' is a much more common word.

I believe that 'original' is a much more common word.- The trouble is that plenty of authorized (non-pirated) CDs are not originals; they are remixes, compilations, etc.

Original, typically, indictes that the copies are inferior, so this isn't technically the case here.

Authentic doesn't really work here, as there are not a lot of "fake" CD's being sold.
