Letter Writing

Cc

I was taught to use cc followed by a name and address for a formal letter, and just a name for an informal letter. Can you follow a cc with an email address?

cc. stands for Carbon Copy. When people used to type on type-writers then a carbon was put between the sheets to create a duplicate.
