'Cause we are going straight at them

Hello!

I have another two questions, kekeke, hope you could take a look for me. Thanks for your help. Thank you!

(Prison Break)

... ...

T-Bag: Well, you want to fight, you are gonna get your chance. Next count.

Michael: Tonight?

T-Bag: Problem with that? 'Cause we are going straight at them. Better catch a square, Fish. We undermanned in a big way.

Q1: What does the first sentence in red mean? I do not understand what T-Bag is talking about. “going straight” ? “at them” ? - at who??

Q2: Does “catch a square” mean “to engage in a fight” in this context?

Michael: All I need's a weapon.

Prisoner: You want a weapon? There you go.

C.O.: All prisoners return to cells.

T-Bag: You are gonna have to prove yourself before we trust you with the heavy artillery. Know what I'm saying?

C.O.: Gates closing!

"Going straight" is something else!

"To go straight at them" is an old expression, indicating a frontal assault - like when the leader of a group of fighters says, "Charge!" (That is, we're not going to sneak up behind them, for example.) At the next head count (tonight) they're going to fight somebody. I have no idea
