Causative verb 'have sb do sth'

Dear teachers,

Would you let me know the way of use of the Causative verb below.

This is from TIME FOR KIDS.

'The recent outbreaks have many people taking a closer look at their food and how to stay safe.'

I think this sentence has a structure using Causative verb.

As far as I know, 'have' will be followed by bare infnitive.

But in the above sentence, 'have' is not followed by bare infinitive.

Isn't this sentence of a bare infinitive?

Would you give me some advice how to understand this sentence?

' This is not exactly causative 'have'. I think you might say that it is a subclass of causative 'have'. Here 'have many people taking a closer look' means '(have) put many people in the position of taking a closer look' or '(have) influenced many people to take a closer look' or '(have) encouraged many people to take a closer look' or '(have) provided the impetus that led many people to take a closer look'.

Thank you for your reply.

I have read all of the recommended posts in the past.

It was well worth reading and I have recognized that it is very hard to

tell the nuance between 'have+infinitive' and 'have+ing'.

To some degree, I think I understood, but it is truth that many questions have arisen.

I felt there is no other way but to be exposed to many Eng
