"Cast" in Present Simple Passive

Hi all!

I'm writing a poem and am not sure how to apply the word "cast" into a Present Simple Passive form.

It goes like this:
"I'm standing by you, my shadow -- cast -- over you"

My gut feeling is:
"I'm standing by you, my shadow's cast over you" (that is: my shadow is cast)

I think this is the proper application, since "cast" is irregular, right?

Thank you very much in advance! Emotion: wink

Both formulations are correct, but "I'm standing by you, my shadow's cast over you" is a comma splice (though there may be more flexibility about this in a poem than would be the case in prose).

Thanks GPY! So "my shadow is cast" rather than "is casted" or "is being casted" is the correct choice?
